Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo has further expanded his influence beyond sports by becoming the newest brand ambassador for EastWest Bank.
The announcement was made at an exclusive event in Makati City on September 30, marking the bank’s 30th anniversary.
Yulo, a priority banking client of EastWest since 2023, expressed his excitement and gratitude for being chosen as the bank’s ambassador.
“Sobrang honored po ako to be standing here in front of you, not just as a representative of Philippine sports, but now as an official ambassador of EastWest Bank,” Yulo said during the event.
EastWest Bank CEO Jerry Ngo lauded Yulo for embodying the values the bank upholds—excellence, resilience, and commitment. “We proudly welcome Carlos as a partner who not only stands for athletic success, but also a commitment to smart financial growth,” Ngo said.
Senior Vice President and head of marketing Martin Reyes praised Yulo’s inspiring journey, noting how his story reflects the power of dedication and perseverance. “His story is truly inspiring. It shows us that with dedication, perseverance, and the right support, any dream can be a reality,” Reyes remarked.
Yulo also shared words of encouragement for the younger generation, advising them to take control of their future early on. “Whether you’re aiming for a gold medal or financial security, it’s always better to start early,” Yulo stated.
The endorsement deal comes after Yulo’s impressive performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he secured back-to-back gold medals in the men’s vault and floor exercise finals in artistic gymnastics. His achievements have made him a household name and one of the Philippines’ most celebrated athletes.
With his new role as EastWest Bank’s ambassador, Yulo is set to inspire even more people through his success both in sports and his commitment to financial responsibility.
