Bianca Gonzalez recently shared her experiences and challenges as the lead host of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ (PBB) for the first time without longtime main host Toni Gonzaga.
In an emotional Instagram post following the grand finale of ‘PBB Gen 11,’ Bianca expressed gratitude for the support of her co-hosts and the production team, while also acknowledging the significant pressure she felt in her new role.
“(Ang aking essay entry) this season was extra special for me in so many ways and there is nothing but gratefulness in my heart,” Bianca wrote, alongside behind-the-scenes photos from the show’s set. She credited the creative staff and crew for pulling together a successful season despite the limited resources and challenges faced by ABS-CBN’s production team.
Bianca, who has been with PBB for over a decade, acknowledged that hosting without Toni Gonzaga, a staple figure on the show, intensified her responsibilities. “I didn’t tell anyone, but I felt the most massive pressure this season—who wouldn’t? To do our first season without Toni, who is the face of the show and only one who can do it the way she does, is no easy task,” Bianca shared.

Despite the pressure, Bianca emphasized that she stayed true to her unique style and focused on honoring the stories of each housemate. She credited her co-hosts—Robi Domingo, Kim Chiu, Melai Cantiveros, Enchong Dee, and Alexa Ilacad—as well as her team for helping her deliver a successful season.
‘PBB Gen 11’ concluded with Fyang Smith being named the Big Winner, drawing an impressive 2.26 million concurrent viewers on YouTube and Facebook. According to Nielsen NUTAM, the finale earned a 10.7 percent rating, marking the first time since ABS-CBN’s shutdown that a Kapamilya program topped the Saturday ratings.
