Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach recently voiced his disapproval toward attorney Maggie Garduque over her involvement in two high-profile cases that center around allegations of abuse.
Muhlach, who has filed his own assault case, expressed his views on Instagram, drawing attention to what he perceived as a contradiction in Garduque’s legal stance.
Muhlach shared a screenshot of Garduque’s recent ’24 Oras’ interview, where she discussed her client Rita Daniela’s filing of acts of lasciviousness charges against fellow actor Archie Alemania.
In his post, Muhlach expressed support for Garduque’s statement on standing by survivors of abuse, noting, “Completely agree with you, @attymaggie, mahirap talaga mag-come forward kaya victims and survivors should never be blamed or made to feel guilty for what happened to them.”
However, Muhlach went on to question Garduque’s role in representing defendants in his own case. “But wow, how ironic, atty. that now you’re standing with a victim of an assault. Justice will prevail!” he added.
Muhlach’s own allegations involve Jojo Tawasil Nones and Richard Dode Cruz, two independent contractors with GMA Network, whom he has accused of sexual assault. Last week, the Department of Justice filed charges of rape through sexual assault and two counts of acts of lasciviousness against Nones and Cruz after finding sufficient evidence to support Muhlach’s claims.
Atty. Garduque, who represents both Daniela and the two contractors, has yet to respond to Muhlach’s comments.
