Actress Dionne Monsanto shared a deeply personal experience with her followers as she marked her 39th birthday.
In a poignant post on Instagram, Monsanto revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in July, opening up about the emotional and physical toll it took on her.
Monsanto, who celebrated her birthday on December 5, reflected on the challenging year and how the loss of her second child ultimately helped her grow stronger. “Stronger at 39. This has been such a challenging year. In July, my husband and I rejoiced at knowing that we were pregnant with baby #2. Then devastated when we went for a checkup and found out that our baby did not have a heartbeat,” she shared in her heartfelt post.
The actress spoke candidly about the emotional and mental strain a miscarriage brings, describing it as “crippling.” She emphasized the strength required to navigate the grief, saying, “No one tells you of the courage you muster to wake up in the morning to pick up the pieces of yourself that shattered the night before.”

Despite the heartache, Monsanto expressed a sense of resilience, focusing on her ability to move forward for the sake of her family and herself. “I share this in hopes that it would reach someone who needs a nudge to keep going, despite the odds, despite the pain. I celebrate me and my strength,” she said, adding that she also celebrates the strength of others who have faced similar struggles.
Monsanto, who gained fame as a housemate on the second season of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ in 2007, married her non-showbiz husband Ryan Stalder in March 2021. The couple welcomed their first child a year later.
