Kapuso TV host and trivia expert Kim Atienza will celebrate his 58th birthday on January 24, 2025.
Despite his age, Atienza defies expectations with his youthful appearance and high energy, crediting his active lifestyle, work ethic, and love for travel.
At a recent press conference for the renewal of his endorsement contract with Sante International (Sante Barley), Atienza shared how his health priorities have evolved after surviving a stroke.
Atienza revealed that his health scare prompted him to make significant changes to his lifestyle.
“Nagbago ang diet ko because I didn’t want to have another stroke. Kapag nagka-stroke ka, ayaw mo nang maulit. And way to avoid it is really preventive. Good lifestyle, a lot of exercise, rich in fiber food (intake),”he said.
He also addressed misconceptions about exercise and aging, encouraging older individuals to remain active while being mindful of their limitations.
“As far as exercise is concerned, it’s old thinking to say na kapag matanda ka na, therefore you have to slow down your exercising. That’s not true. The older we get, the more we should exercise, but smarter,” he explained.
Focusing on strength, mobility, and flexibility, Atienza emphasized the importance of core training to maintain functionality and youthfulness.
“More functional, more mobile, more flexible. Mas magkakasakit ka sa puso kung hindi ka mag-e-exercise,” he added.

Atienza expressed gratitude for the opportunities that continue to come his way, particularly his endorsements and ongoing television projects.
“I’m feeling blessed dahil ang trabaho ko ay napakaganda at napakadalas. I’m feeling blessed because may Sante family ako, Sante endorsement, and other endorsements that have been quite good as well,” he shared.
He also looks forward to reuniting with his children in the United States for the holidays, adding, “God has been good to me. I’m feeling good.”
As he reflects on his future, Atienza remains committed to staying in the public eye, whether through television or new platforms.
“I love television. And I’d love to be on television as long as I can,” he concluded.
Beyond television, Atienza is grateful for the continued trust of brands like Santé Barley, with whom he has had a 13-year partnership. What started as a shared passion for triathlons with Santé CEO Joey Marcelo evolved into a long-lasting collaboration promoting health and wellness.
“I’m feeling blessed dahil ang trabaho ko ay napakaganda at napakadalas,” he said. This holiday season, Atienza plans to reunite with his children in the United States.
Looking ahead, Atienza expressed his desire to stay in the public eye. “I want to be on television in my waning years. Maybe I’ll lessen the frequency or have one show or a podcast. I love television and want to keep doing this as long as I can,” he said.
Santé Barley, which aligns with Atienza’s advocacy for health, plans to expand to new markets, including the United States, Indonesia, and Italy, in 2024. The company also aims to launch a beauty line featuring moisturizers, toners, and sunscreens, further diversifying its offerings in the wellness space.
