Bianca Gonzalez defends ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ amid allegations of scripted content

Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez has spoken out against a social media user who accused “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) of being scripted, particularly during a recent episode of “PBB Gen 11 Big 4Ever.”

The episode featured the finalists Dylan, Jas, JM, and Fyang in a Q&A segment that sparked criticism from some fans, with one netizen accusing the production of manipulating results for drama and controversy.

The netizen alleged inconsistencies in the segment, claiming that Fyang initially drew JM’s name but was ultimately paired with Dylan. This led to allegations that the show intentionally altered results to create intrigue.

“Unang nabunot ni Fyang si JM. Pero bakit naging si Dylan? Scripted ka talaga @PBBabscbn! Pa-issue ang mga ptang inang pibibi na to,”* the commenter wrote, adding further accusations that the show prioritizes sensationalism over authenticity.

Bianca, who has long been the face of ‘PBB’, defended the production team and clarified the incident. She also called out the inappropriate language used by the netizen.

“Kailangan talaga murahin mo kami? Insultuhin, just because it does not meet your standard? We get a lot of bashing, I understand, but I put my foot down pag sobra na,” Bianca said in her response.

She explained the mechanics of the segment in question: “Ask Fyang, JM, Jas, and Dylan if you want. Nabunot ni Jas yung sarili niyang pangalan in the first round so EVERYONE had to pick names again. The next round, everyone got a different name from theirs. Hindi na kasya sa running time to air the first part so we went straight to the actual Q&A,” Bianca detailed.

Bianca urged fans to share their feedback in a more respectful manner, emphasizing the difference between honesty and humanity.

“We value fans’ opinions a lot, pero pag minura na kami, mali na ‘yun. Sana next time, share your thoughts na mas makatao. Iba yung pagpapakatotoo sa pagiging makatao. Parehong importante ‘yun,” she said.

Following Bianca’s statement, many fans rallied behind her, praising her for addressing the issue professionally while calling out the inappropriate behavior. Supporters emphasized the need to appreciate the hard work behind PBB rather than resorting to baseless accusations.

Despite the backlash, ‘PBB Gen 11 Big 4Ever’ remains a hit with viewers, continuing its legacy as one of the country’s most iconic reality shows.
