Kapamilya star Chie Filomeno broke her silence and slammed former It’s Showtime co-member Dawn Chang over allegations of a past confrontation during a dance rehearsal.
The controversy began when Dawn appeared on the online show ‘The Men’s Room’ three months ago, where she recalled an incident involving a fellow celebrity. According to Dawn, her position in a dance lineup was taken, which led to an argument.
“Etong si girl, nagre-rehearse kami ng dance, inagawan ba naman ako ng position sa steps, tapos inaway ako. Nagpa-interview pa, ako daw nang-away,” Dawn shared, without naming names. However, she dropped hints, including that the person’s initials matched someone involved in a similar controversy before.
When host Anjo Yllana joked, “Si Cristy Fermin ba yan?” Dawn replied, “Hindi no, pero ka-initials niya,” fueling speculation that she was referring to Chie Filomeno.
Chie took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the issue head-on, refuting Dawn’s claims and calling her statements false.
“Oh bakit nahiya ka pa pangalanan ako @thedawnchang? About the rehearsal, that NEVER happened. At alam ng prod sa Showtime yun,” Chie wrote, adding that staff members from It’s Showtime also confirmed the incident did not occur.
Chie accused Dawn of spreading lies, writing, “Your mouth is full of lies talaga no? Sige nga bakit ko muna hinila yung buhok? Balik ko sa’yo sinabi mo, ‘Pinagtanggol ko lang sarili ko ah.’”
In another post, Chie urged Dawn to move on from the issue, saying, “Naka-move on na lahat. Andoon pa din si ate mo Dawn. 2025 na, tumigil ka na kung hindi mo kaya mag name drop. Last ko na ‘to.”
While Chie directly addressed the claims, Dawn chose not to engage further. Instead, she posted about her new lash extensions and celebrated moving into a new office space on social media.
Chie and Dawn’s apparent rift traces back to their time as members of GirlTrends, the all-female dance group on ‘It’s Showtime’ in 2019. Though the exact origin of their issues remains unclear, this latest confrontation reignites speculation about the long-standing tension between the two.
As of now, neither party has expressed interest in reconciling, leaving the matter unresolved and further fueling the intrigue surrounding their feud.
