GMA Network’s new late-night romantic-comedy series ‘My Ilonggo Girl (MIG)’ premiered last week, and it made a promising start in the ratings game.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, MIG registered solid numbers in its first week.
On its debut on Monday, January 13, MIG garnered a 6.5% rating, landing in the number 9 spot on the ratings chart. It performed notably better than its rival program, ‘PBB Gen 11 Big4 Ever,’ which scored 3.1%.
The ratings remained steady on its second day, Tuesday, January 14, with MIG maintaining a 6.5% rating. However, it dropped one spot to rank 10.
Midweek, on Wednesday, January 15, the series, starring Jillian Ward and Michael Sager, saw a slight dip to 6.4% but held onto its number 10 position.
On Thursday, January 16, MIG bounced back with a notable 0.6% increase, climbing to 7.0% and securing the number 8 spot on the ratings chart.
‘My Ilonggo Girl,’ led by Jillian Ward who’s still fresh from her success in ‘Abot Kamay na Pangarap,’ tells the story of Tata Magbanua, an Ilongga who finds herself impersonating the famous internet celebrity Venice Hermoso due to unexpected circumstances. Filmed in Iloilo City, the series not only captivates with its compelling storyline but also showcases the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the province.
