Social media personality Tito Mars has addressed remarks made by Sassa Gurl during her guest appearance on Your Honor, where she called out an influencer for needing to “change” in 2025.

In a viral moment during the vodcast, Buboy Villar asked Sassa Gurl, “Sino sa mga influencers ngayon ang kailangang magbago ngayong 2025?”

Sassa Gurl replied candidly, “Oh my God! Dami! Puwede pa ba mag-shout out ng isa? Kakadaan ko lang sa video ni [bleep] kanina. Nakakaloka si bakla… Maarte si bakla,” she said, referencing a content creator’s food-related video.

Sassa went on to poke fun at the influencer’s exaggerated reactions, saying, “Nagulat ako kasi pati tubig, maarte siya. Tubig NAWASA pala. Magbago ka na, girl.”

In a TikTok video, Tito Mars confirmed he was the influencer being referred to and acknowledged the past criticisms surrounding his “eating challenge” content, particularly his viral video from May 2024 where he showed extreme disgust over sardines.

“Ako lang naman ‘yung maarte sa sardinas na nag-trending. Kahit ako, naiinis sa sarili ko nung pinapanood ko ‘yung mga videos. Parang, ‘Ate, ano ‘yan? Lahat na lang ayaw mo kainin, napakaarte naman,’” he admitted.

Tito Mars reflected on how his content may have unintentionally offended others:

“Nung iniisip ko ‘yung mga contents ko lalo sa sardinas, parang indirectly tinatapakan ko ‘yung pagkain ng mahihirap, which I know is sobrang mali.”

The influencer shared that he has since made efforts to improve his content by making it more meaningful and respectful:

“Ngayon, sinusubukan ko magkaroon ng character development sa content ko… Hindi na ako si palasigaw, si palaaway, si palamura. Gusto kong mas maging maayos ang delivery ko.”

Tito Mars also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to Sassa Gurl: “Mima Sassa Gurl, thank you. Sa lahat ng content creators na naging toxic, ako ang naisip mo. I appreciate it. Sinusubukan ko na talagang magbago at maging mas maayos.”

Netizens quickly praised Tito Mars for his humility and willingness to change, while others commended Sassa Gurl for her constructive feedback. Fans expressed hope that the interaction would inspire more influencers to reflect on their content and create positive changes in the online space.
