Prominent celebrities graced the first-anniversary celebration on January 30 of Corso Como 88’s flagship store at One Ayala Mall in Makati City, making the luxury brand’s milestone event even more glamorous.
Among the star attendees were Kylie Verzosa, Kris Bernal, Ashley Ortega, Shuvee Etrata, and fashion icon Tessa Prieto-Valdes, who served as the evening’s host. Also spotted were Annabelle Rama, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Janine Gutierrez, who arrived with her sister Maxine Gutierrez.
The event, held on February 4 at the store’s 3rd-floor location in One Ayala Mall, showcased Corso Como 88’s continued commitment to promoting Italian craftsmanship and luxury fashion in the Philippines.
Janine Gutierrez highlighted the importance of sustainability in fashion during the event. “The first luxury pieces I ever had, I inherited from my family,” she shared. “That’s why when I spend on something, I want it to last to the point that I can share it with siblings or future children. It’s all about sustainability and making the most of what you spend.”
Corso Como 88 supports this philosophy with its Reuse Section, which features pre-loved designer items in excellent condition. “These are authentic, curated pieces that have been used but are still in good to great condition,” said Imelda Menguito Sciandra, President and CEO of Corso Como 88.
Over the past year, Corso Como 88 has become a destination for luxury shoppers, offering exclusive Italian and Parisian brands. This year, the store is introducing more artisanal brands, including Gianni Chiarini, Roberta Pieri, Biagini, Buti Pelletterie, and Acqua dell’Elba.
Sciandra emphasized the store’s dedication to promoting Italian design and craftsmanship. “This milestone signifies more than just a successful year of operations,” she said. “It also shows our unwavering commitment to curating a collection that embodies the rich heritage and timeless elegance of Italian luxury.”
The store’s perfume section also attracted attention, featuring exclusive scents from BOIS 1920 and Bottega Italiana Spigo.

Building on its success, Corso Como 88 plans to expand with a new branch in Vertis North, Quezon City, following its second location at Ayala Malls The 30th in Pasig City.
To celebrate its anniversary, Corso Como 88 is offering exclusive promotions both in-store and online at corsocomo88.com. The brand invites shoppers to experience the elegance and superior craftsmanship of its curated collection.
