Singer and actress Frenchie Dy revealed that she has experienced a third attack of Bell’s Palsy, a rare condition that causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of the face.

Frenchie shared the emotional news through a video on her official Facebook page, where she expressed both discouragement and gratitude for the support she has been receiving.
In the video, Frenchie admitted how difficult it has been to cope with the recurring condition but highlighted the importance of the encouragement from her family, friends, and fans.
“Pinaghinaan ako ng loob pero I know na maraming nagpi-pray for me… Andiyan yung asawa ko, nandiyan yung mga anak ko, my friends. Lahat ng sumusuporta sa akin nandiyan so kaya ko ‘to. Laban lang,” she said.
The singer expressed her appreciation for the medical professionals assisting her, while showing some of the medications and vitamins she is taking, such as Vitamin B2 and steroids, to help alleviate her symptoms.
“Ngayon, parang mas grabe siya. Unlike yesterday, nagagalaw ko siya. Ngayon, medyo hindi siya gumagalaw,” Frenchie explained.
Frenchie mentioned that her doctors are investigating why the condition has returned multiple times. She is scheduled to undergo tests such as an MRI and electromyography (EMG).
“I’ll update you sa mga tests na mangyayari sa akin kasi gusto din malaman ng mga doctors bakit pabalik-balik yung Bell’s ko. Pangatlo na ‘to… MRI, EMG. Ang hirap humanap at ang mahal pero go lang,” she said.
Despite the challenges, the singer maintained a hopeful outlook and vowed to document her recovery journey for her followers.
“Thank you guys for being with me. Samahan niyo ako sa journey to recovery nitong Bell’s Palsy ko,” she added.
Frenchie’s post was met with an outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers. Many left encouraging messages, reminding the singer of her strength and resilience. Others shared their prayers and positive thoughts for her full recovery.
