After days of silence, Jam Ignacio has finally spoken out following allegations of domestic violence made by his fiancée, DJ and vlogger Jellie Aw.
In an exclusive interview with GMA Network’s ’24 Oras’, Ignacio issued a public apology, admitting his wrongdoings and pleading for a second chance to fix their relationship.
Fighting back tears, Ignacio directly addressed Jellie, expressing regret over his actions and reiterating his love for her.
“Alam mo kung gaano kita kamahal. Alam mo kung gaano kita protektahan, bantayan sa lahat ng ginagawa mo—lagi akong nakasuporta sa’yo. Sa lahat ng gusto mong gawin sa buhay, nakasuporta ako lagi sa’yo,” he said.
He went on to plead for an opportunity to privately reconcile their issues:
“Sorry sa mga nangyari. Pinapangako ko sa’yo na hindi na mauulit ‘to. Sana bigyan mo ng pagkakataon na ayusin natin ‘to pareho nang pribado, na sa ating dalawa.”
Ignacio also reminded Aw of their dreams together, including their plans to build a family.
“Alam mo din na mahal natin ang isa’t isa. Madami tayong gustong gawin, pangarap, na sana maayos natin at matupad natin. Alam mo na gusto ko, ikaw na ‘yung makasama ko talaga.”
Amid reports that he was evading authorities, Ignacio refuted the claims, stating that he was not in hiding and was only waiting for the right time to address the legal case Jellie filed at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
He insisted that their dispute escalated from a simple misunderstanding, which led to his outburst.
“Kumbaga, tao lang din po ako. Napuno lang din siguro ako, na hindi ko sinasabing tama, pero hindi ko rin para i-tolerate na gawin uli. Humihingi ako ng tawad. Pasensiya na talaga, sorry, sorry sa lahat.”
Ignacio also extended his apologies to Jellie’s family and friends, acknowledging their pain and disappointment.
“Sa mga kapatid, sa mga kaibigan, heto, heto ako, humaharap sa inyo, humihingi ng taos-pusong sorry. Sorry, sobrang sorry lalo na sa family ni Jellie. Ma, sorry Ma.”
As of writing, Jellie Aw has not responded to Ignacio’s public apology.
She previously filed a formal complaint against Ignacio at the NBI’s Violence Against Women and Children Division, leading authorities to place him under investigation.
Jellie also went public with photos of her injuries, allegedly caused by Ignacio.
The case has sparked outrage online, with netizens demanding justice for Jellie. Some urged her to stand firm in pursuing legal action, while others expressed skepticism over Ignacio’s sudden public apology.
Meanwhile, the NBI has yet to release a statement on Ignacio’s legal status and whether he will be taken into custody following his admission.
