Filipino DJ and vlogger Jellie Aw has become the center of controversy after revealing that her fiancé, Jam Ignacio, allegedly assaulted her inside a locked vehicle.
However, instead of receiving widespread sympathy, Jellie faced criticism from netizens, with some even suggesting that she was “karma” for her past remarks about Ignacio’s ex-girlfriend, actress Karla Estrada.
The controversy erupted when Jellie’s sister, Jo Aw, shared distressing photos on Facebook showing Jellie with a bloodied face, swollen lips, and bruises, allegedly inflicted by Ignacio.
According to Jo, the incident happened inside a locked vehicle, and Jellie only managed to seek help when their RFID failed to scan at a toll gate, allowing her to roll down the window and call for assistance from a toll booth teller.
Jellie later posted on Facebook, vowing to seek justice: “HAPPY VALENTINES? Taena mo Jam Ignacio! Mapapatay mo ‘ko. Wala akong ginawang masama para ganituhin mo ‘ko. Halos mamatay ako sa ginawa mo! Papakulong kita!”
While some netizens expressed concern and support for Jellie, others mocked her situation, bringing up her past comments about Karla Estrada, who was previously in a long-term relationship with Ignacio.

Amid the criticism, a woman named Chit Charap, whom Jellie considers a mother figure, defended her against the negative comments.
“Hindi po jackpot si Jellie kay Jam. High school pa lang, masipag na si Jellie. Halos walang pahinga sa pagtatrabaho. Siya ang bumuhay sa pamilya niya mula nang pumanaw ang papa niya.”
She also clarified that Jellie is financially independent, dismissing accusations that she relied on Ignacio.
“Bahay po niya yan, sasakyan niya, negosyo niya—huwag kayong magsalita nang hindi niyo alam ang totoo.”
As of now, Ignacio has not responded publicly to the allegations. Meanwhile, Jellie has undergone a medical examination and is preparing to file a legal case against him.
