Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega described her stint in ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ as a “life-changing” journey, following her eviction from the iconic PBB house on Saturday, March 29, alongside Kapamilya Duo partner AC Bonifacio.
In an interview with ’24 Oras Weekend’ aired Sunday, March 30, Ashley opened up about the overwhelming emotions she’s still processing since leaving the house.
“Sobrang life-changing niya to the point na hanggang ngayon medyo sabaw pa rin ako at medyo hindi pa rin nakaka-sink in lahat ng nangyayari,” she said. “Natatakot din ako, I mean kung ano’ng nangyayari dito sa outside world, pero siyempre, I’m grateful and I’m happy Alyssa’s here, my sister.”
Despite the surprise and disappointment of being evicted, Ashley said she accepted the outcome as part of the game.
“Bigla talaga ako, at nalungkot. Pero siyempre, at the end of the day, kailangan kong tanggapin na this is a game. Pero whatever [happened] inside the house naman, I will cherish everything. Laban lang.”
Ashley, who has been in the entertainment industry for years, admitted that her time in PBB pushed her outside her comfort zone emotionally.
“Sa tagal ko sa industriya, first time ko lang talaga maging vulnerable sa harap ng maraming tao so medyo feel ko I’m a changed person, tapos medyo hindi ko alam kung anong nararamdaman ko,” she said.
One of the most emotional moments for the actress was being given the chance to reconnect with her mother—whom she had not seen or spoken to in three years—through a heartfelt letter before her eviction.
As she adjusts to life outside the PBB house, Ashley thanked those who supported her throughout her journey.
“Hindi ko pa kasi alam kung sino pero thank you, sana po tuloy n’yo pong suportahan ang PBB kasi ‘yung mga housemates ko doon, lahat sila matatapang, lahat sila mababait. I realized na they’re all different, pero ‘yung pagsasama namin du’n was really strong.”
Though her time inside the house has ended, Ashley Ortega’s heartfelt experience and candid moments continue to resonate with fans—leaving many to anticipate what’s next for the actress after this deeply personal chapter.
