A new P-Pop girl group is set to make waves in the entertainment industry as Bodies: Next Gen officially launched on March 8, 2025, at Gulliver’s Ballroom, Great Eastern Hotel in Quezon City.
Managed by Premiere WaterPlus Production, led by Marynette Gamboa, the group consists of 13 young and dynamic performers who successfully passed rigorous auditions in both singing and dancing. They are: Bodi Wendy, Bodi Chanel, Bodi Amara, Bodi Iris, Bodi KZ, Bodi Mycky, Bodi Selina, Bodi Jade, Bodi Darrah, Bodi Kesha, Bodi Sherie, Bodi Dior and Bodi Tia.

These unique stage monikers were given to them to enhance their branding and ensure memorability among fans.
Bodies: Next Gen serves as a rebranded and reimagined version of the original D’ Bodies, a controversial yet popular female group that gained nationwide attention in 2003 after a highly publicized pictorial at Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard.
While many original D’ Bodies members have since moved abroad or started families, their sultry and unforgettable image remains in public consciousness. Some of them even reunited recently as a competing team on GMA Network’s ‘Family Feud’, showcasing their signature charm and energy.
Now, the next generation of D’ Bodies is embracing a modern approach with a K-Pop-inspired concept, making their mark as Bodies: Next Gen—a group that embodies both youthful energy and sophisticated appeal.
The creation of Bodies: Next Gen is the brainchild of Marynette Gamboa, a renowned talent discoverer and entrepreneur, who previously served as a mayor in the Ilocos region.
Gamboa recently returned to the entertainment industry as the producer of the highly anticipated film ‘Idol: The April Boy Regino Story.’ Now, she aims to redefine the P-Pop scene with a group that can compete on both local and international stages.
The 13 members of Bodies: Next Gen underwent intensive training with expert dance instructors to ensure they are stage-ready at any given time.
Director Obette Serrano, who plays a key role in managing the group, shared exciting plans for the newly launched performers.
During the press event, some members of Bodies: Next Gen expressed their admiration for BINI, one of the leading P-Pop girl groups today.
When asked if they aim to follow in BINI’s footsteps, the girls responded with enthusiasm, saying they are inspired by their predecessors but are ready to carve out their own unique identity in the industry.
With their K-Pop-inspired style, strong stage presence, and dedication to their craft, Bodies: Next Gen is poised to become a major contender in the Philippine music scene.
As they prepare for their upcoming performances and projects, the question remains: Will Bodies: Next Gen live up to the legacy of D’ Bodies and redefine the P-Pop industry?
