Actress Barbie Imperial issued a lighthearted apology to OPM rock band Moonstar88 after a video of her botched performance of their hit song ‘Migraine’ went viral on social media.
Imperial and fellow actress Alexa Miro were performing during the Team Marcos Laoag Proclamation Rally concert when the amusing mishap occurred. In the now-viral clip, the real-life besties struggled to sync with each other, belting out different lines from the iconic song’s chorus.
Barbie first sang “’Di na makatawa,” then followed with “’Di na makatulog,” while Alexa tried to stifle her laughter on stage. The correct lyrics: “’Di na makatulog, ’di na makakain.”
Rather than shy away from the moment, Barbie took to TikTok to poke fun at herself. She posted a video laughing and pretending to guess the correct line, complete with multiple-choice options:
“Dahil hindi na ____?
A. Makatawa
B. Makakain
C. Makatulog”
She captioned the post with a humble note: “Sorry po, Moonstar88 ”
@barbie_imperial sorry po moonstar88 😭
Netizens joined in on the fun, flooding the comments with witty quips.
Despite the lyrical mix-up, the crowd enjoyed the spontaneous moment, and the duo’s reaction only added charm to the already memorable performance.
‘Migraine’ remains one of Moonstar88’s most beloved songs, first released in 2008 as part of their Todo Combo album.
Barbie and Alexa have been seen together at several public events, most recently attending the 2025 Manila International Film Festival in Los Angeles with First Lady Liza Marcos. While Alexa has previously been linked to Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos, she has clarified they are just close friends.
