GMA Network’s newest mystery drama ‘Slay’ made a solid debut, gaining an early lead in the ratings battle against Kapamilya rival ‘Saving Grace’.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘Slay’ opened on a strong note.
Its pilot episode on Monday, March 24, scored a 5.2% rating, topping ‘Saving Grace’, which posted 4.8%.
Though it experienced a dip the following day, Tuesday, March 25, dropping 0.6 points to 4.6%, ‘Slay’ maintained its lead, still ahead of ‘Saving Grace’ at 3.9%.
By midweek on Wednesday, March 26, the Kapuso drama regained momentum, climbing back up to 4.9%. ‘Saving Grace’ also saw a slight rise, scoring 4.4%.
‘Slay’ capped off its first week on a high note, hitting 5.3% on Thursday, March 27—once again outpacing ‘Saving Grace’, which closed the week with 4.9%.
The series marks GMA’s first original collaboration with streaming platform VIU. ‘Slay’ stars Mikee Quintos, Ysabel Ortega, Julie Anne San Jose, and Gabbi Garcia, alongside Derrick Monasterio, Gil Cuerva, and more.
Directed by Rod Marmol, the show follows four women entangled in a murder plot against fitness influencer Zach (Monasterio). But when Zach dies in a suspicious gym fire, secrets unravel and the true mystery begins.
‘Slay’ airs Monday to Thursday at 9:25 PM on GMA Network, with a delayed telecast on GTV at 11:25 PM.
