Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista remains a proud Kapuso after officially renewing his contract with GMA Network on May 7, 2025.
Present during the ceremonial signing at the GMA headquarters were top network executives including GMA President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., EVP and CFO Felipe S. Yalong, VP for Drama and Entertainment Group Officer-in-Charge Cheryl Ching-Sy, and NYMA COO and Christian’s wife, Kat Bautista.
“Maraming salamat sa pagtitiwala. It’s really overwhelming to be standing here today. I’ve been part of GMA for over a decade, almost half of my entire career. But it never gets old and it never gets less meaningful,” Christian said.
He also expressed deep gratitude to NYMA, the talent and influencer management agency he co-founded with Kat. “Thank you for being here, for guiding me, and for pushing me to explore new spaces. Thank you for showing the world the other side of me — the funnier, lighter, and more human side.”
Duavit praised Christian not only for his artistry but also for his character. “When you look at the terms ‘versatile,’ ‘committed,’ and ‘artist,’ he personifies those,” he remarked.
Yalong also lauded Bautista’s role in ‘The Clash,’ calling him the “Philippine counterpart of Simon Cowell” and “the most dared judge” on the show.
Kat Bautista became emotional during her message, thanking GMA Network for the continued trust in Christian. “This is Christian’s home and I watched how he blossomed here. I’m also thankful that you welcomed NYMA and we look forward to what we can build with you.”
Christian currently appears in ‘All-Out Sundays’ and the series ‘How To Cheat Death’ as Doc Madiaga. He will also be returning as judge in the upcoming season of ‘The Clash’ this June.
Celebrating two decades in the entertainment industry, Christian was recently named one of The Outstanding Filipinos in America (TOFA) 100 Most Influential Filipinos for his work in music, his impact in Indonesia, and his advocacy with World Vision Philippines.
In 2024, he also represented the Philippines internationally, performing alongside iconic R&B group All-4-One in Jakarta under Tomita Entertainment.
