Actor Jake Ejercito is taking a firm stand to protect his daughter, Ellie, after a viral video showed the 13-year-old being filmed without her consent by a vlogger.

The now-deleted video, originally posted by influencer Crist Briand, captured Ellie visibly uncomfortable and trying to shield her face as the camera zoomed in. The influencer continued filming despite her reaction and even uploaded the clip to social media, where it gained traction and inappropriate comments from some viewers.
Jake took to Facebook on Friday, May 31, to call out the incident, saying: “This ‘influencer’ filmed Ellie without her consent. She did not want to be in his video—let alone be posted by him. Clout-chasing should never come at the cost of someone’s privacy, especially a minor’s.”
The actor urged the public to report the video, expressing his deep concern for his daughter’s privacy. In a follow-up post an hour later, Jake confirmed that the video had been removed: “Crist Briand has deleted the video. Thank you to those who reported the video. Please continue reporting the page of this irresponsible clout chaser who ambushed a 13-year-old girl for views. I’m now in the process of exploring legal options.”
Jake also shared a screenshot of the deleted video, showing Ellie covering her face as the influencer enthusiastically addressed his followers, saying, “So, hello brothers and sisters, kauban ako diri ang anak ni Andi Eigenmann, si Ellie. Ellie, say hi to my vlog.”
Although Ellie managed a small wave and smile, it was clear she was caught off-guard and reluctant to participate.
The incident drew widespread support for Jake, with many netizens echoing his sentiment. Comments flooded his post, urging accountability and emphasizing that children deserve privacy and protection both offline and online.
Others reminded content creators of laws such as the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) and RA 7610, which protect minors against exploitation.
Despite the influencer’s video receiving thousands of reactions before it was deleted, Jake’s response has become a rallying point for responsible content creation and digital ethics, especially concerning minors.
As of writing, Jake’s post has reached over 12,000 likes, 6,000 shares, and 2,000 comments.
