Emotions ran high inside Bahay ni Kuya as ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Josh Ford received a heartfelt letter from his mother, moving him to tears during Thursday’s episode.
The letter, delivered by guest housemate Donny Pangilinan, opened with warm words from Josh’s mom: “Dear Josh, una sa lahat, gusto ko lang sabihin na proud ako sa ‘yo. Keep being the kind and genuine person that you are. Makaka-inspire ka and I hope you never forget that.”
Overwhelmed with emotion, Josh softly uttered, “Oh, mom. I love you, mom,” as tears welled up in his eyes.
The letter also shared an update about his family in the UK, including his younger sister Caitlin, who recently celebrated her birthday during a family trip to Norfolk.
“Super saya sa trip. We went on a boat trip, pero siyempre, mas exciting ‘yung thought na one day, we’re all together,” his mother wrote.
She ended her message with a simple but powerful reminder for Josh to always pray and take care of himself.
Opening up to his fellow housemates after reading the letter, Josh shared a personal revelation: “Story lang, I haven’t seen my family in like, a year siguro. Lahat sila nasa UK, mag-isa lang ako dito.”
In the confession room, Josh described the experience as a turning point.
“Super, super happy ako. Nawala ‘yung mga bigat ko at ‘yung mga iniisip ko dito. And mas lalo akong lumakas para ipagpatuloy ‘yung journey ko dito sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya.”
Josh and his partner Ralph de Leon are currently among the six housemates nominated for eviction this week. Other contestants who have recently received letters from their families include AZ Martinez, Shuvee Etrata, and Will Ashley.
‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ airs on GMA Network, weeknights at 10 p.m. and weekends at 6:15 p.m.
