Following their respective losses in the 2025 Caloocan City councilor race, Marjorie Barretto appears to be moving forward — and turning heads — with a lighthearted social media post that some netizens see as a subtle “resbak” to her former partner, Dennis Padilla.
On Friday, May 16, Marjorie took to Instagram to greet Linda Gorton, another former partner of Padilla, on her birthday.
She shared two photos of them dining together and penned a heartfelt message: “Happy Birthday to my beautiful friend Linda. It’s been wonderful getting to know you. Our late night 2 hour FaceTime calls are never enough. Can’t wait to see you end of May. Let’s celebrate our birthdays together! @lindamarie_gorton”

Marjorie and Dennis, who share children Julia, Claudia, and Leon, were both defeated in their bids for councilor seats in Caloocan this May.
Meanwhile, Linda, based in Australia, is the mother of Dennis’ two other children, Gavin and Maddie.
This post also comes weeks after Dennis shared a photo with Kier Legaspi, Dani Barretto’s biological father, in what some viewed as his attempt at showing goodwill. Legaspi had recently thanked Dennis in an interview for being a father figure to Dani during his absence.
