Social media personality Rendon Labador has called out fellow content creator Ser Geybin following the backlash over a now-deleted video titled “Slide”, which featured a minor in what netizens deemed an inappropriate and suggestive setup.
In the video, Ser Geybin is seen encouraging a young girl to slide down a chair that many viewers interpreted as resembling an adult-themed prop. The content immediately drew widespread criticism from the online community, especially parents and women’s groups, for its tone-deaf and potentially exploitative nature.
Labador didn’t mince words as he condemned the video, emphasizing the need for accountability among influencers and creators.
He further called on government agencies to take action: “Apology accepted palagi at dapat talaga itama.
In follow-up posts, Labador reiterated the urgency of setting standards and consequences for content creation involving minors.
He even referenced a recent case involving a motorist named Yanna, whose publicized road behavior led to swift action from the LTO.
In response to the uproar, Ser Geybin issued a public apology on his Facebook page on the evening of May 14. In his post, he acknowledged the misstep and said the upload was made without fully considering its implications.
Despite the apology, many netizens and fellow creators—including Labador—believe the issue warrants formal scrutiny, citing the importance of protecting minors from harmful or exploitative online content.
