As part of its milestone 75th anniversary celebration, GMA Network is gearing up to launch two major primetime offerings this June, promising action-packed storytelling, star-studded casts, and groundbreaking production value.
June 16: World Premiere of ‘Sanggre: Encantadia Chronicles’
One of the most anticipated spin-offs in Philippine television, ‘Sanggre: Encantadia Chronicles’ will make its world premiere on June 16. A continuation of the iconic ‘Encantadia’ saga, this new chapter is directed by Rico Gutierrez and Enzo Williams and introduces a fresh generation of Sang’gres—the elemental guardians of the magical realm.
The original Sang’gres—Pirena (Glaiza De Castro), Amihan (Kylie Padilla), Alena (Gabbi Garcia), and Danaya (Sanya Lopez)—will officially pass on their powers to a new team:
- Terra (Bianca Umali) – Brilyante ng Lupa (Earth)
- Flamarra (Faith Da Silva) – Brilyante ng Apoy (Fire)
- Deia (Angel Guardian) – Brilyante ng Hangin (Air)
- Adamus (Kelvin Miranda) – Brilyante ng Tubig (Water) and the first male Sang’gre
Adding tension to the mystical drama is Mitena, a powerful new antagonist played by Rhian Ramos. Her arrival signals greater threats that will challenge the unity and strength of the new guardians.
June 23: Premiere of ‘Sanggang Dikit’
Kapuso power couple Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado reunite on-screen for ‘Sanggang Dikit’, an action-packed GMA Prime series premiering June 23. Playing police officers, both stars underwent intensive training, with Jennylyn even studying jiu-jitsu and gun handling to authentically portray her role. Dennis shared that he was closely guiding his wife through the action sequences.
The series also features Liezel Lopez, Roi Vinzon, Al Tantay, Sam Pinto, Marina Benipayo, Arthur Solinap, Kiel Rodriguez, Matthew Uy, and Seb Pajarillo, with guest appearances by Glydel Mercado and Patricia Coma. Directed by LA Madridejos, the show is produced by the GMA Entertainment Group.
These are just the first of several major projects GMA Network plans to unveil in 2025 as part of its diamond anniversary.
