It appears that Willie Revillame’s signature variety show format may no longer hold the same appeal it once did. This was reflected in the dismal performance of “Wil To Win’s” season finale, which hit rock-bottom ratings according to the latest NUTAM People survey.
On its final episode, which aired Friday, April 25, ‘Wil To Win’ posted a 0.8% rating—its lowest not just for the finale week but for the entire year to date.
The show’s final week began on Monday, April 21, with a 1.0% rating—slightly trailing Meteor Garden’s 1.1%, and significantly behind GMA’s Family Feud, which led the timeslot with 7.5%.
On Tuesday, April 22, the Kapatid network’s afternoon variety show saw a slight uptick to 1.2%, narrowly edging out Meteor Garden (1.1%), yet still lagging by 6.5 percentage points behind Family Feud, which recorded a 7.7% rating.
‘Wil To Win’ maintained its 1.2% rating on Wednesday, April 23, again beating Meteor Garden (0.9%), but continued to trail Family Feud, which earned 6.9%.
By Thursday, April 24, during its penultimate episode, the show dipped to 1.1%, still ahead of Meteor Garden (0.9%), but 5.8 points behind Family Feud (6.9%).
Throughout its run, ‘Wil To Win’ consistently struggled in the ratings game, often falling far behind its direct competitor Family Feud.
With Willie Revillame stepping back to pursue a senatorial bid, it’s perhaps unsurprising that the show closed its season with its weakest performance yet.
