After four years away from the limelight, Yen Santos is finally making her long-awaited return to showbiz.
On Saturday, May 10, the actress surprised fans by sharing a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram from what appears to be a shoot.
Though she didn’t reveal whether it was for a TV series, film, or commercial, she wrote in the caption: “Day 1. The joy of being back.”
The post immediately sparked excitement from fans and industry peers, marking her first public confirmation of a new project since stepping away from acting.

Santos last starred in the 2021 film ‘A Faraway Land’ opposite Paolo Contis, who later became her real-life partner. Their relationship became controversial as it followed Contis’ split with actress LJ Reyes, with many speculating about a possible overlap. Both Santos and Contis denied these claims, and in January 2023, they confirmed their relationship.
However, rumors of a breakup emerged in 2024 after observant fans noticed the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram. While neither publicly addressed the split, Contis declared in a November 2024 interview that he was “single.”
Since her breakout roles in hit teleseryes like ‘Halik’ and ‘Pure Love’, Yen has kept a relatively low profile—until now. With her cryptic but hopeful “Day 1” post, it seems she’s ready to reclaim her space in the industry.
