After more than two decades of enchanting audiences with her soulful voice and timeless hits, Filipino rock icon Kitchie Nadal is back in the spotlight with “New Ground”, a much-anticipated concert set to redefine her legacy and connect with a new wave of music lovers. 
Hosted by Denise Silva, the press conference felt more like a reunion than a formal event, as fans and media alike shared stories of growing up with Kitchie Nadal’s music, especially her unforgettable tracks like “Same Ground,” “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin,” and “Bulong.” These songs, once staples of karaoke nights and heartbreak playlists, are making a comeback with reimagined versions designed to resonate with today’s generation.
Kitchie shared the inspiration behind the concert’s title, New Ground, noting that it symbolizes artistic evolution and her desire to reach new audiences. “We’re exploring new ground because of the audience, because of the music,” she said, referring to her efforts to blend her signature style with contemporary elements.
The New Ground concert will not only feature her beloved hits but also exciting crossover performances with Gen Z artists such as Zild, KAIA, and Skusta Clee. Kitchie revealed she personally selected the collaborators: “They were my chosen artists, and I’m thankful they said yes right away.”
As part of her comeback, Kitchie is also releasing a new EP that includes re-recorded versions of her original tracks like “Run,” “Bulong,” “Fire,” “You’re Worthy,” and the all-new single “Landas.” These updated renditions aim to preserve the emotional core of the originals while embracing musical growth and dynamic experimentation.
The concert will kick off at Araneta Coliseum this June 21, with additional shows planned in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and potentially abroad. Kitchie also hinted at a European leg, reflecting her current residence in Spain.
“The energy here is different,” Kitchiel said of performing in front of a Filipino crowd again. “I was surprised there are still so many people who know the songs, even Gen Z.”
