A viral post from Ivy Manzon-Bo — an event planner, host, content creator, and former classmate of Marian Rivera — has stirred controversy on social media after she shared an old high school incident involving the Kapuso Primetime Queen.

In her now-deleted Facebook post, Manzon-Bo claimed she and Rivera once got suspended from school following a heated altercation where the actress allegedly pulled her hair and poured a soft drink on her. She added that the confrontation was sparked by a classmate who pitted them against each other due to jealousy.
According to Manzon-Bo, both were suspended for a week and removed from their varsity team. The two eventually reconciled, though they reportedly had another misunderstanding in college that was again resolved when they crossed paths during Rivera’s ‘Marimar’ days.
Despite stating that they are now on good terms, Manzon-Bo’s resurfacing of the incident drew criticism from netizens, with some questioning her motives and accusing her of reviving irrelevant issues from the past.
Others expressed disappointment over her decision to share the story publicly, especially since Rivera had mentioned in a past interview that she had already forgiven people from her past — a statement that seemingly triggered Manzon-Bo to reflect on their history.
“People change. Everyone changes as they age,” Manzon-Bo said, stressing that she holds no ill will toward Rivera. “I shared my story because it is mine to tell… it may be cringe but it is real and none of it was made up.”
She also clarified that her post was not meant to discredit Rivera’s current public image.
As of this writing, Marian Rivera has not issued any response regarding the post. LionhearTV remains open to publishing her side of the story.
