Moviegoers are advised to bring tissues as the highly emotional film ‘Lasting Moments’, starring Sue Ramirez and JM de Guzman, hits theaters nationwide on July 30.
Originally slated for an earlier release, the film’s schedule was pushed back by director Fifth Solomon to secure more theaters for its showing. Prior to its theatrical debut, ‘Lasting Moments’ held a special screening attended by influencers, celebrities, bloggers, and drag queens—many of whom were visibly moved to tears by the film.
In a video shared by Passion 5 Studios, audiences were seen weeping inside the cinema. Content creator Arman Salon was even caught crying uncontrollably, a reaction echoed by many who attended.
The film follows the emotional love story of a couple played by Ramirez and de Guzman, tracing the highs and lows of their relationship, from the joys of falling in love to the heartbreak of separation.
Sue and JM’s powerful performances were praised for their raw emotion and authenticity, making the characters highly relatable. Many viewers noted that both actors delivered one of their most compelling performances to date.
“Ang ganda. Ito na siguro ang pinaka-ayos na movie ni Fifth Solomon,” one viewer commented, while another added, “Walang itulak-kabigin ang galing nina Sue at JM. Swak na swak sa roles nila.”
‘Lasting Moments’ is a personal project for director Fifth Solomon, who not only wrote the film during the pandemic but also served as its producer—marking his debut in that role. In a social media post, Solomon described it as “a heartwarming, makapigil-iyak na pelikula that gently reminds us to hold on, to feel deeply, and to never forget the people who changed us.”
The film was shot in Manila and Singapore, providing an intimate backdrop for its moving narrative.
