A close friend of Vice Ganda has come to the comedian’s defense amid growing rumors on social media regarding their recent Palawan getaway, particularly allegations that the group paid ₱80,000 each for the trip and that Vice was late for their flight.

The controversy intensified after several netizens shared their reactions online, with some referencing a vlog by showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin that discussed Vice Ganda’s alleged mistreatment of friend and co-host MC Muah during their vacation.
One viral tweet stated: “Kadiri pa din si VICE na pinag bayad nya ng 80k yun mga barkada nya for an outing BWAHHAAHAHAH.”

In response, Mon Natividad — a known friend of Vice Ganda and one of the companions during the trip — clarified the situation in a social media post.
“Una sa lahat, wala ni isa sa mga kasama namin ang nagbayad ng 80k per head,” Mon clarified. “Nasa more or less ₱75,000 ang isang room/villa for 4D/3N. Sa isang room, more than one occupant — so hati-hati pa yun.”
He further explained that all expenses beyond accommodation were covered by Vice Ganda himself: “Lahat ng food, activities, and special set-up — ni piso, wala kaming nilabas. Lahat kay VG yun.”
Mon also addressed rumors that Vice arrived late at the airport lounge: “Kami ni VG ang pinakahuling dumating sa Amanpulo lounge, pero we arrived before the ETD,” he said. “Kita naman po sa vlogs na sabay-sabay kami lahat sumakay ng aircraft. In fact, sobrang tagal pa naming naghintay sa loob ng plane kasi may 2 or 3 planes pa na nag-take off bago ‘yung sinasakyan namin.”
When asked about the alleged “double agents” leaking information to Cristy Fermin’s group, Mon shrugged off the speculation: “Hahahaha, walang doble kara. May ‘source’ ba talaga? Or baka dumampot lang ng mga chika sa vlogs/content ng iba?”
This comes after Cristy Fermin expressed concern over a viral scene from Vice Ganda’s vlog where he confronted MC Muah over group dynamics during their Palawan vacation.
“Masyado akong naapektuhan para kay MC — ‘yung pagluha niya, ‘yung paghagulhol niya,” Cristy said in the May 26 episode of Cristy Ferminute.
She claimed MC seemed unable to fully express himself because of his professional relationship with Vice: “Gusto niya talagang pagbigyan si Vice kung ano ang magustuhan dahil nasa laylayan siya ni Vice Ganda sa Showtime.”
