Viva Artists Agency (VAA) has issued a firm denial regarding rumors circulating online that actors Xian Lim and Louise Delos Reyes allegedly have a child together, calling the claims “completely false” and “libelous.”
In a statement released Tuesday, June 10, the talent agency expressed alarm over viral posts using the names of their artists for alleged clickbait content. “There are rumors circulating online which suggest that two of our artists, Louise Delos Reyes and Xian Lim, have a child. These rumors are completely false and are, in fact, libelous,” VAA said.
The agency also condemned the inclusion of a minor’s photo in some posts, labeling it a serious breach of privacy. “In what we see as an attempt to gain more attention, as ‘clickbait,’ some of these posts also include a photo of a minor. This is an invasion of privacy and is inappropriate, irresponsible, exploitative, and in poor taste,” it added.
VAA urged the public to exercise caution when engaging with content online. “We ask that the public refrain from spreading or engaging [with] malicious and false information, and remind all to be discerning of content posted online.”
Neither Lim nor Delos Reyes has issued a personal statement on the matter.
The two co-starred in the 2019 romance film ‘Hanggang Kailan’ but have separate personal relationships. Lim is currently in a relationship with Viva producer Iris Lee, while Delos Reyes is engaged to her non-showbiz fiancé, Jino.
