While content creator Zeinab Harake and basketball star Ray Parks Jr. tied the knot in a lavish and star-studded wedding, one noticeable absence quickly stirred questions online—Zeinab’s mother, Mariafe Ocampo.

Netizens were quick to notice that Mariafe was nowhere to be seen in the shared wedding content, leading to a wave of speculation on social media.
A now-viral comment on Mariafe’s Facebook post read, “Sana naman sa araw ng kasal niya andun ka teh Bong… sa hirap at ginhawa ikaw ang kasama, tapos sa araw ng kasal niya wala ka.”
In response, Mariafe herself confirmed she was not allowed to attend. “Ano pa gagawin ko, di po ako pinapasok sa guest… naka-banned po ako. Mahigpit na bilin ni Zeinab sa mga coordinator at head guard po. Kaya umuwi na lang ako,” she wrote, revealing that security denied her entry based on her daughter’s instructions.

Adding to the intrigue, a Reddit user claimed to have seen Mariafe at a local Alfamart in Silang, Cavite on the evening of June 1. According to the post, Mariafe allegedly said aloud, “Ako na sariling nanay hindi pinapasok ni Zeinab sa kasal,” before mentioning she planned to post about the incident on Facebook.
On her own Facebook wall, Mariafe shared a post captioned “bulalooooo 6-1-2025 #SILANG CAVITE w/ 2 bff since 2013,” seemingly indicating she chose to spend the evening dining with friends. The photo even showed her wearing a formal outfit, and interestingly, she was seen posing with YouTube personalities Viy Cortez and Cong TV — who were also at the wedding briefly before leaving early due to a family emergency.
While some netizens expressed sympathy for Mariafe, others sided with Zeinab. Supporters echoed the sentiment “her wedding, her rules,” and pointed out past issues between the mother and daughter, with some accusing Mariafe of being “problematic” and “unsupportive.”
Amid the buzz, Zeinab’s unapologetic stance remains clear. In a previous post, she declared, “Your wedding, your rules,” a statement that now appears more personal than ever.
