Sparkle actress AZ Martinez made her long-awaited debut on It’s Showtime on Wednesday, July 16, marking a dream come true for the ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ 4th Big Placer.
AZ and her fellow ‘PBB’ housemate and final duo partner River Joseph, collectively known as ‘AzVer,’ joined the noontime show’s ‘Breaking Muse’ segment as part of its ‘Board Members’ alongside Kapamilya actress Alexa Ilacad.
For AZ, stepping onto the It’s Showtime stage for the first time was more than just a guesting—it was a personal milestone.
“Sobrang saya and pangarap ko po talaga ‘to, makapunta dito sa It’s Showtime,” she shared. “Sinasabihan ko si Ate Klang, ‘yung nandoon kami sa PBB, ‘Ate Klang, kahit PA mo ‘ko, basta makasama ako sa Showtime, gusto ko pumunta.’”
With excitement and gratitude, AZ greeted the audience with the iconic line, “What’s up, Madlang People!” marking her memorable first appearance on the show.
Meanwhile, River returned for his second time on It’s Showtime and expressed how special the moment felt for both of them.
“Grabe ang tagal naming hinintay ‘tong araw na ito na makasama rito sa Showtime,” he said.
During a quick Q&A segment, host Vice Ganda asked River what was the very first thing he did after leaving the famous Big Brother house.
“Mahawakan ang pamilya ko, bigyan sila ng isang hug siyempre, at makakain ng mga masarap na pagkain,” River replied, drawing warm reactions from the hosts and audience.
