The phrase “taping friend” shot to the top of X’s trending topics after Bianca De Vera playfully friendzoned fellow ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Will Ashley in a post that triggered both kilig and heartbreak reactions from fans.
It all began when Will uploaded a video on X (formerly Twitter) on July 14, where he jokingly reminded Bianca of a promise she made inside the ‘PBB’ house. During one episode of the reality show, Bianca vowed to “full tank” Will’s car after he gave her a donut.
“May nagpapatanong, kailan mo raw ibibigay yung full tank ko? Kinuha ko yung donut mo,” Will asked in the video.
Bianca, caught off guard, laughed and replied, “Mamaya, mamaya, ipapa-full tank ko! Basta huwag lumaki ang ulo, papa-full tank ko yan kahit araw-araw.” She then quickly took it back: “Hoy, hindi, joke lang, joke lang.”
But what truly fueled the trending status was Bianca’s caption when she reposted the clip: “ok taping friend.”

Will responded with a dramatic quip of his own: “Sabi ko na nga ba eh, taping friend pa din tigil na yan!!”
Netizens exploded with reactions, many expressing mock heartbreak and teasing that Will had been officially friendzoned.
The “taping friend” label stems from Bianca and Will’s 2023 team-up in ‘Unbreak My Heart’, the historic drama collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA Network. Although they grew close during the project, their communication reportedly faded after the series ended — a missed connection that resurfaced during their time together in the ‘PBB’ house.
Inside Kuya’s house, Bianca and Will revisited their past and rebuilt their friendship, but another love story soon blossomed — this time between Bianca and fellow Kapuso actor Dustin Yu. The Bianca-Dustin tandem, known to fans as “DusBi,” grew stronger by the day, both inside and outside the PBB house. Their chemistry led to a fan meet on July 10, which drew hundreds of supporters.
Meanwhile, the Will-Bianca ship, dubbed “WillCa,” remains alive through a recent fundraising concert they co-headlined on July 12.
During the Star Magic Spotlight press conference on July 14, Bianca was asked how she feels about being shipped with both Will and Dustin.
