After spending 118 days inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ house, Esnyr Ranollo has finally set the record straight about his close friendships with the male housemates—addressing speculations and affirming the value of mutual respect.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz for his YouTube channel, Esnyr opened up about how some people had put malice into his bonds with fellow housemates like Brent Manalo and River Joseph, who have since become crowd favorites. But for Esnyr, his connections inside the house were never about attraction.
“Pumasok po talaga ako para ilaban ko po talaga ‘yung pamilya ko. Ilaban ko ‘yung istorya ko. Gusto ko po na maipakilala sa kanila ‘yung tunay na Esnyr,” he said, stressing that his motivation in joining ‘PBB’ was deeply personal and not romantic.
He acknowledged the blessing of forming genuine friendships—particularly with the male housemates. “Happy po ako na meron pa po akong mas nakuhang more meaningful at more valuable po, more than their pretty face,” he added.
“Kumbaga ‘yung tunay na friendship po na somehow I feel loved and I feel welcomed po lalo na sa boys bedroom. Tini-treat po talaga nila ako kasi na prinsesa-prinsesa du’n,” he shared.
As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Esnyr said it was a dream come true to experience the kind of brotherhood and respect he found inside Kuya’s house.

“Sana one day meron din kaming mga boy best friend ganyan. At ‘yun po ‘yung nakuha ko po du’n na ite-treasure ko po talaga ‘yung friendship po namin at how they also give respect to me po as much as I give respect to the boys po,” he said.
Esnyr also clarified that he never developed romantic feelings for any of the male housemates, emphasizing the importance of boundaries.
“Ayokong ma-stereotype sa ganyan. Kasi it’s basic human decency to respect them din po. To respect begets respect,” he stated. “So nirerespeto ko po sila du’n sa loob. Hindi ko sila binabastos. Hindi ko sila ino-objectify in a way. Kaya siguro sobrang comfy lang po talaga namin.”
Outside the house, Esnyr quickly adjusted back to real life by checking his phone for feedback and catching up on the news. “More on dini-brief ko muna ‘yung sarili ko sa kung ano ‘yung nangyayari sa outside world… More on kinatchup ko talaga, dinibrief ko malala ‘yung sarili ko,” he told Ogie.
He also spent cherished moments with his family, celebrating being together in Manila during the Big Night.
Esnyr, together with his duo Charlie Fleming, was hailed as the 3rd Big Placer of the season. Reflecting on the journey, he shared in an Instagram post: “Prayers answered y’all! We entered PBB as individuals & walked out with my other half… we are not just fighting for our dreams. But also to represent the breadwinners who never rest, the youth who dream big, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Victory isn’t always a trophy — sometimes, it’s growth.”
