Award-winning actress Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo admitted she never expected to be the face of a beauty brand this late in her career.

But at 47, she is proudly stepping into a new role as the newest ambassador of Bioten’s Hyaluronic Gold skincare line.

During the launch event held on July 15 at Whitespace in Makati City, Judy Ann shared her disbelief and gratitude.

“Hindi ko talaga naisip na may darating pang chance for me… Suntok sa buwan na ‘to,” she told reporters. “I’m 47 already and I’m not really known to be an ambassador of any beauty brand.”

Looking back, she recalled endorsing shampoo brands when she was younger, but never skincare. “Alam ko kung hanggang saan ang ganda ko… Alam ko kung ano ‘yung meron ako,” she said with a laugh.

As someone with sensitive skin, Judy Ann said she used to try different products in search of what worked for her. But over the years, she realized her skincare routine had become unnecessarily complex.

“Ngayon, ang ginagawa ko after work, nagta-tanggal na ako agad ng makeup. I always make it a point na nakakahinga ‘yung skin ko,” she shared.

Beyond skincare, Judy Ann highlighted that it was her shift in mindset that truly transformed how she sees herself. “Before, I used to be so hard on myself. Parang napakatamad mo, Juday. Ayaw mo kumilos… And then I realized, okay lang. I need to be kind to myself,” she said.

She now embraces rest without guilt. “Feeling ko, deserve ko naman ‘yung mga tamad days. And it’s okay.”

Part of her self-care journey also includes a healthier lifestyle. She has since eliminated caffeine, starts her day with lemon water, and occasionally does juice cleanses. “For you to be able to feel good and to look good, you have to take care of your gut,” she said.

While she’s not rushing back into acting, Judy Ann keeps herself busy with her cooking show Judy Ann’s Kitchen and an upcoming cookbook. She also has two acting projects lined up—’Call My Manager’ and ‘Bagman’.

Still, her top priority remains her family. “Most of the time, I give it to my family, to my kids. And there’s always a day in a week that I give to myself.”
