The New Hue Video Music Awards 2025 proved to be a big night for P-pop and OPM, with top honors going to BINI, Maki, and Cup of Joe during the ceremony held Sunday, July 27, at The Palace, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Nation’s Girl Group BINI bagged two major awards: Group Artist of the Year and Concert of the Year for their historic three-night sold-out Grand BINIverse concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Singer-songwriter Maki also swept two prestigious titles, winning Male Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for his smash hit Dilaw. The rising soloist, fresh from his Canada tour, was visibly emotional as he accepted the honors. Maki dedicated his wins to his loyal fans and to Filipino visual artists, as well as BINI Maloi, who starred opposite him in the Dilaw music video.
Meanwhile, Cup of Joe delighted fans with their win as Vocalist of the Year (Gian and Rapha), and also took home Best Picture at the Honor Booth, earning ₱50,000. Band member Gian Bernardino humorously quipped that the prize helped with the “ROI” for their red carpet outfits.
Honor 400 Pro 5G, one of the event’s major sponsors, was prominently featured throughout the night, with its booth drawing attention for both selfies and prizes. The smartphone is already available in select global markets and is expected to launch locally soon.
