Senator Robin Padilla couldn’t hold back his admiration for his nephew, Daniel Padilla, after watching the actor’s performance in the hit action-drama series ‘Incognito’, which recently concluded its first season on Netflix.

In a heartfelt post, Robin lauded Daniel’s acting skills, action prowess, and screen presence — even going as far as calling for a sequel to his iconic 1994 military film ‘Mistah’, this time with Daniel as one of the leads.
“Bravo!
He also extended his congratulations to the show’s production team: “Congratulations sa iyong staff, crew, stuntman, stunt director, writer, creative at siempre sa director. Haymabu! Mistah 2 na!”
Robin’s praise comes shortly after Daniel was named Outstanding Asian Star at the 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards for his portrayal of Andres Malvar, aka Wolf, in Incognito. This marks Daniel’s first win and second nomination at the prestigious awards show, with the results based on fan voting. In 2023, he was nominated for 2 Good 2 Be True, which he starred in alongside former girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.

Incognito also stars Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Kaila Estrada, Maris Racal, and Anthony Jennings. The series recently wrapped its first season, with the finale teasing the possibility of a season two.
The original Mistah, which premiered in 1994, starred Robin alongside his brothers Rommel, Royette, and Rustom Padilla (now BB Gandanghari), and is considered a classic in Philippine action cinema. Robin’s comment about a Mistah 2 starring Daniel Padilla sparked excitement among fans, with many hoping to see a new generation of Padillas continuing the family’s action legacy.
Adding to the excitement surrounding the Padilla clan, Daniel’s younger sister Carmella Ford recently signed a contract with Star Magic, with proud mom Karla Estrada by her side — signaling that the next wave of Padillas is ready to make its mark in showbiz.
