Celebrity duo Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse De Guzman, collectively known to fans as ‘ShuKla,’ took center stage as surprise co-hosts on ABS-CBN’s ‘It’s Showtime’ on Friday, July 4, during the new segment ‘Breaking Muse.’
Despite it being an unplanned and spontaneous hosting gig, the two delivered a lively performance that earned praise from viewers and netizens alike. The duo’s chemistry and banter, especially with main host Vice Ganda, quickly won over the Madlang People.
Though Klarisse is no stranger to ‘It’s Showtime’—having served as a judge for the long-running ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ segment—this marked her first time stepping into a full-on hosting role, showing her playful and comedic side.
For Shuvee, it was her debut appearance as a guest co-host on the show, and her quick wit and charm were well-received by both the audience and Vice Ganda himself.
Vice took to social media to share his thoughts on their performance, writing: “ShuKla did well as cohosts today in It’s Showtime. Di sinayang ang moment. Congrats and thanks girls!!!!”

He also revealed that the guesting was completely unplanned: “Super random ng guesting nila today. Nagiisip ako ng ganap kahapon para sa ep today then pagbukas ko ng pinto ng dr ko andun sila. Agad agad kinuha ko sila ng pwersahan. Wala silang nagawa. Lolzzz! Thanks ShuKla!”
The segment—and the duo’s presence—proved to be such a hit that fans online began clamoring for Klarisse and Shuvee to become regular hosts, with Klarisse now even being dubbed the ‘Nation’s Mowm’ for her endearing energy.
Vice added that much of the episode’s flow was done on the fly, making the success of ShuKla’s hosting stint even more impressive: “Halos lahat ng naganap kanina sa Showtime puro biglaan. Grabe ung pressure and anticipation. Nauga ako. Napagod ang utak ko. Kaya ayun nakatulog ako during commercial. We’re really trying our best to give u a good show. Everyday we try. Because the Madlang People deserve it.”
With their natural rapport, comedic timing, and audience appeal, ShuKla has become an instant favorite. Whether their guesting was a one-time surprise or a preview of more appearances to come, one thing’s clear: the Madlang People are here for it.
