Sunshine Cruz isn’t staying silent any longer.
The actress took to Facebook to call out individuals—some of whom she considered friends—for spreading fake news about her relationship with businessman Atong Ang.

In her strongly worded posts, she denounced malicious rumors circulating online, particularly those claiming that she and Ang had broken up due to alleged physical abuse.
“Sharing misinformation is not advisable especially if the news comes from a questionable site. Be vigilant family and friends,” Sunshine wrote, attaching screenshots of the false claims.
She added in a follow-up post, “Spreading fake news coming from an unreliable or fake site about someone simply because she keeps her personal life private is unacceptable.”
Sources close to Sunshine revealed that she has grown increasingly frustrated with people she thought were her friends—only to find out they were helping spread unfounded stories online.
Back in December 2024, Atong Ang confirmed their relationship in an interview with Bilyonaryo News Channel. While Sunshine never publicly commented until now, the couple had been seen together, including photos that sparked public interest.
Sunshine’s post also included a quote card reminding her followers, “Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet just because there’s a picture with a quote next to it.”
Before dating Atong, Sunshine was in a long-term relationship with Macky Mathay and was previously married to actor Cesar Montano. Their marriage was annulled in 2018, but they remain co-parents to their daughters Angelina, Chesca, and Sam.
