Musician Abby Clutario opened up about her emotional journey as she recorded the closing theme for GMA Network’s epic live-action series ‘Voltes V: Legacy’.

“Yung suporta sakin ng AltG Records damang dama ko, kasi hindi na rin talaga ako umaasa kasi ayan na tumatakbo na yung Voltes V Legacy, alam nga namin kailangan talagang complete yung license nyan,” Abby confessed, expressing her gratitude to AltG Records and GMA Music for entrusting her with the revival of the iconic song.
Known for her mastery of the Chapman Stick, Abby has earned recognition for her captivating covers of OPM hits such as “Tadhana” by Up Dharma Down, and most notably, “Chichi Wo Motomete”—the timeless classic from the original Voltes V anime.
She recalled how her journey with the song began when she first released her rendition during the pandemic. “Nung na-release ko ’to nung pandemic pa lang, parang hopeful naman na lahat, so everybody was congratulating,” she shared.
Now that Voltes V: Legacy has wrapped up, Abby admitted she’s still overwhelmed by the continued love and support. “May mga fans na nagugulat ako kasi bumabalik dun sa old video, binabalita pa sakin na ‘Uy, narinig ko na yan sa Barangay LS’ so sobrang happy yung ganung feeling,” she said.
Abby’s official rendition of “Chichi Wo Motomete” is now available worldwide on all digital streaming platforms.
