Wedding bells may soon be ringing for Manny Pacquiao’s mother, Dionisia “Mommy D” Pacquiao, and her longtime partner Mike Yamson.
In an interview with Kapamilya broadcast journalist Bernadette Sembrano, the couple revealed they are ready to tie the knot after more than a decade together.
“Plano n’yo bang ikasal?” Bernadette directly asked.
“Yes! Oo naman,” Mike immediately replied.
Mommy Dionisia confirmed, “May plano naman, e. Mayroon na ring wedding ring.”
According to her, Mike has made a heartfelt promise about their relationship:
“Sinabi niya sa akin, ‘Patunayan ko sa ’yo kamatayan lang hiwalayan natin. Sino man ang mauna sa atin, kamatayan lang makapaghihiwalay sa atin.’”
Mommy D also shared that she prayed for someone like Mike to come into her life.
“Sabi ko kay Lord, bigyan niya ako ng mabait, kaya ayan, mabait ‘yan siya,” she said.
Despite their 26-year age gap, the couple remains unfazed by criticism, choosing to focus on their love for each other.
Mommy Dionisia and Mike have been together for more than 10 years, first going public with their relationship in 2014 during her 65th birthday celebration.
Last February, they marked their 11th anniversary with flowers, a stuffed toy, and a customized cart for Mommy D’s leisurely strolls—proof that their romance continues to thrive.
