Actress and TV personality Alexa Miro has finally confirmed that she and Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. and House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos have broken up after years of being romantically linked.
Speaking to the entertainment press on Thursday, September 25, during the mediacon of ‘Sing Galing: Sing-Lebrity Edition’, where she is among the contestants, Miro admitted that while their relationship has ended, her feelings for Sandro remain.
“Tingnan natin, why not? I will always have love for him, that will never change,” she said when asked if a reconciliation is still possible in the future.
Miro revealed that they were in a relationship for five years, but it was kept private for safety and security reasons, given Sandro’s position as a member of the First Family.
“Reason behind that decision was for safety purposes and precautions because siyempre kasi sila ang ating first family,” she explained.
She admitted that she had hoped to be publicly acknowledged in their relationship, but she eventually understood his reasons.
“Ako kasi pangarap ko noon na ipagmalaki rin ng boyfriend because who doesn’t like that, right? But when it was told naman to me, I have known naman his reasons, wala naman akong violent reactions, because nga like I’ve said naiintindihan ko,” she added.
Miro also addressed the TikTok Live where she tearfully opened up about their breakup, which quickly went viral.
“Nasaktan kasi talaga ako sa mga huling kaganapan kaya siguro naramdaman ko na baka panahon na para magsabi ng totoo… Parang nagkataon lang na wrong place, wrong time. I was so full of emotions. I was angry so I wanted to speak up,” she admitted, while clarifying that it was not a publicity stunt.
“Hindi naman ako gumigimik o nag-iingay. Mayroon lang akong personal na nararamdaman, na pinagdadaanan sa buhay ko… Wala naman akong gustong saktan o paringgan talaga,” she stressed.
Despite the split, Miro only had good words for Sandro and the Marcos family. She described them as “very supportive” and shared that Sandro’s love language was quality time.
“I wish him well, I wish him nothing but the best,” she said.
Miro is now focusing on her career and her participation in ‘Sing Galing: Sing-Lebrity Edition’, where she hopes to raise funds for her chosen charity.
