Young actor Rabin Angeles candidly shared that he never expected to get along with Andres Muhlach at first.

In an interview, Rabin recalled feeling hesitant to approach Andres when they initially met. “Parang ayaw ko siyang kausapin kasi Inglesero. May accent pa nga siya magsalita pero mahusay naman mag-Tagalog,” he said. He also admitted that being the son of Aga Muhlach made Andres seem intimidating.
Rabin even revealed how his mother encouraged him to overcome his shyness: “’Yung nanay ko tuwang-tuwa pa. Sabi niya, ‘Sige na, ‘nak, idol ko tatay niyan, ‘pag nakita mo pa-video greet mo ko ha.’”
Eventually, as Andres became more comfortable speaking in Tagalog, the two grew close on set. “Kami po ni Andres parang magkapatid kami niyan. Dami kong natutunan sa kaniya,” Rabin shared, adding that their bond eventually felt like family.
Rabin also opened up about his personal journey before entering showbiz. He once dreamed of becoming a neurologist after his father died of a brain aneurysm. “Gusto ko talagang maging instrumento para gamutin ‘yung mga tao na nasa gano’ng sitwasyon,” he said.
However, financial struggles forced him to change paths. He pursued acting, starting with a bit role that paid him ₱400. His big break came when he appeared in a digital BL series. Though only a supporting actor, Rabin’s large following helped him outshine even the lead.

But early fame almost derailed his career when arrogance got the better of him. “Naipahamak ako ng kayabangan ko,” he admitted, saying the experience taught him the importance of humility.
Now, he considers his role in a series featuring the AshDres love team a major blessing and remains focused on his goals. “Mas focused ako sa career kaysa lovelife,” Rabin stressed, adding that his biggest dream is to one day build a house for his mother.
