Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda once again warmed the hearts of viewers after offering to shoulder a balut vendor’s one-year house rent during a segment of ‘It’s Showtime’ on Tuesday.

The comedian-host made the pledge to contestant Tatay Jovie, a senior citizen who shared that he pays ₱3,500 monthly for rent.
I will pay for the entire year para hindi mo na siya iisipin,” Vice said.
Overcome with emotion, Tatay Jovie broke down in tears, repeatedly thanking Vice for the early Christmas blessing.
Netizens quickly showered Vice with praise for his gesture, noting that while he cannot help everyone, his consistent acts of kindness make a difference in the lives of ordinary Filipinos. “That’s why I can not hate Meme Vice!”
Others lauded ‘It’s Showtime’ for spotlighting honest workers like Tatay Jovie while also addressing pressing social issues.
Vice has repeatedly used his platform to call out corruption and remind Filipinos to vote wisely in future elections. Just recently, he underscored that corruption robs citizens not only of money but also of hope and opportunities.
With the ongoing probe into ghost flood control projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Vice’s simple act of generosity further endeared him to fans — many of whom compared his compassion to the indifference of some politicians.
