Comedian and content creator Brenda Mage couldn’t hide her excitement after unexpectedly seeing Vice President Sara Duterte in person during the latter’s visit to Davao Oriental following a series of earthquakes that struck the region.

In a Facebook post on October 12, the former Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 10 housemate and It’s Showtime “Miss Q&A” alum shared how the chance encounter left her completely stunned.
“OA ng reaction ko kahapon… Syempre nagulat, bumabyahe lang naman kami tapos may along the way kala namin may nahuli o aksidente kasi may maraming tao. Tapos nasulyapan namin siya,” Brenda wrote.
The comedian said she initially thought there was an accident when she saw a crowd by the roadside, only to realize that they were gathered to see the Vice President.
“Ay takbo talaga kami agad, natulala na lang ako. ‘Di na nakalapit, basta nakita ko lang siya tapos tumingin siya sa’kin, kumaway… ayun na, masyadong overwhelming ang pangyayari,” she added.
Brenda also sent a short message to the Vice President after the encounter: “Magiingat po kayo palagi, Ma’am Inday Sara Duterte.”
Netizens flooded Brenda’s post with comments, expressing their amusement and sharing similar admiration for the Vice President. “Maka-starstruck ang smile ni VP oi, ngiting walang halong kaplastikan,” one user commented. “Same ta! Mastarstruck ko niya perme, makalimot nakog papicture,” another added.
VP Sara Duterte was in Davao Oriental on October 11 to personally visit earthquake victims and oversee relief operations. Later that day, she proceeded to Davao City to meet fire victims in Barangay 21-C and pay tribute to those who died in the disaster.
Brenda, who hails from Mindanao, is known for her humorous yet heartfelt content. This time, however, even the outspoken comedian couldn’t help but be speechless in the presence of the country’s second-highest official.
