Filipina drag queen Brigiding was officially crowned the first-ever winner of ‘Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale’, the special edition of the franchise that brought together top Asian drag artists in a celebration of creativity, identity, and cultural pride.

In a glittering finale streamed on WOW Presents Plus, Brigiding triumphed over her fellow Divine Diva and ‘Drag Race Philippines’ Season 1 sister Viñas DeLuxe after a powerful lip-sync showdown to ‘Born to Do Drag’ by Marina Summers, another alum of the Philippine series.
The grand finale featured the Top 4 contestants—Brigiding, Viñas DeLuxe, ‘Drag Race Philippines’ Season 2 runner-up Arizona Brandy, and ‘Drag Race Canada’ alum Suki Doll—competing in the ‘Slaysian Grand T.I.T.E. (Totally Impressive Talent Extravaganza)’, which tested their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent through a series of performances and three runway categories: ‘Defying Gravity’, ‘Yellow, Yellow, Yellow!’, and ‘Come in Your Best Drag’.
Brigiding impressed the judges with her striking concepts: a ‘Divine Intervention’ couture for Defying Gravity, an EDSA Revolution-inspired creation for Yellow, Yellow, Yellow!, and a “brightest star phenomenon” ensemble for her final runway. She also performed her original song ‘Brighters Day,’ which detailed her personal and professional journey in drag.
“We are all made of stars, but tonight, I shine brighter than the rest,” Brigiding declared in her final runway voiceover.
In her emotional acceptance speech, Brigiding reflected on her two-season journey and the lessons that came with it.
“This is the testament that learning is the new winning. Please, don’t be afraid to share your story and do not give up on your dreams because dreams don’t expire,” she said.
Viñas DeLuxe, who finished as the runner-up, expressed joy and admiration for her drag sister’s victory.
“I am so happy and grateful that I get to share the same experience with Brigiding. Win namin ‘tong pareho,” Viñas said.
Brigiding took home a ₱2 million cash prize from BingoPlus, a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, a crown and scepter, and a spot in the Slaysian Royale Hall of Fame. Suki Doll was named Miss Congee-niality.
The win marked a triumphant comeback for Brigiding, who finished sixth in ‘Drag Race Philippines’ Season 1. With three RuBadges and multiple challenge wins this season, she emerged as a frontrunner early on and maintained her momentum until the finale.
‘Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale’ also paid tribute to the late drag icon Jiggly Caliente, who passed away earlier this year, dedicating the finale to her legacy.
Brigiding now joins the ranks of ‘Drag Race Philippines’ winners Precious Paula Nicole, Captivating Katkat, and Maxie Andreison, solidifying her place as one of the country’s most celebrated drag superstars.
