After a series of back-and-forth battles for primetime supremacy, GMA Network’s epic telefantasya “Sang’gre” has officially claimed the throne, dethroning long-time leader “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ).”

According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, “Sang’gre” has consistently outperformed its Kapamilya rival, earning its place as the new queen of primetime entertainment.
On Monday, October 6, “Sang’gre” edged out FPJBQ with a 12.1% rating, just 0.1% higher than FPJBQ’s 12.0%, placing them at second and third on the overall ratings board.
The following day, October 7, “Sang’gre” widened the gap, scoring 12.5% against FPJBQ’s 11.8%, maintaining their respective positions.
By Wednesday, October 8, both shows saw a dip, but “Sang’gre” still led with 12.1%, while FPJBQ dropped further to 11.2%.
Thursday, October 9, marked a strong comeback for the Kapuso fantasy series, which surged to 12.9%, beating FPJBQ’s 11.8% by a 1.1 percentage point. The momentum continued into Friday, October 10, as “Sang’gre” sealed its five-day winning streak with 11.6%, while FPJBQ fell to 10.1%.
Whether “Sang’gre” is truly captivating more viewers or FPJBQ is simply losing steam, one thing’s clear, audiences are shifting, and the primetime landscape is evolving.
With “Sang’gre” riding high and FPJBQ seemingly in need of a storyline refresh, the battle for nightly dominance is far from over. Stay tuned, Kapuso and Kapamilya, this ratings war is just heating up.
