Sunlight Air continues to soar higher as it welcomes the latest addition to its growing fleet — the ATR 72-600, a modern turboprop aircraft designed for efficiency, sustainability, and passenger comfort.

The new aircraft (registration RP-C6388) officially arrived at A&M Elite Aviation International Corp. in Clark Freeport Zone on Friday, October 24, 2025, marking another major milestone for the boutique airline’s expansion efforts.
Unveiled in an exclusive launch event, the ATR 72-600 features a refreshed livery and updated logo, symbolizing Sunlight Air’s commitment to modernization and service excellence.
“It’s been a long time coming, and we’re ecstatic to announce our latest addition of the ATR 72-600,” said Ryna Brito-Garcia, CEO of Sunlight Air. “This new aircraft is only one manifestation of the airline’s growth over the past few years, and this fleet expansion comes in line with our plans to continuously improve Sunlight Air’s services and eventually expand our route offerings.”
The ATR 72-600 complements the airline’s existing three ATR 72-500s, offering enhanced performance tailored for short-haul regional flights. With a seating capacity of up to 68 passengers and low carbon emissions, the aircraft embodies Sunlight Air’s dedication to eco-friendly operations and a seamless travel experience.

The new aircraft will officially enter service on October 26, 2025, operating on the routes Clark–Siargao, Siargao–Cebu, Cebu–Busuanga, and Busuanga–Clark.
As part of its expansion, Sunlight Air also announced its newest destination — Siquijor, with four weekly flights from Cebu starting December 15, making it the first airline to offer direct flights to the island from Cebu.
“With this, we hope to fly even more passengers — extending Sunlight Air’s signature brand of hospitality and connecting travelers to beloved island destinations across the Philippines,” Brito-Garcia added.
The airline’s strategic growth aligns with its mission to make local tourism more accessible and to strengthen the connectivity between the country’s most scenic destinations.

The launch event was made possible through partnerships with Sunlight Hotels and Resorts, Discovery Hotels & Resorts, Uni-Tech Philippines Industrial Machinery Inc., A&M Elite Aviation International Corp., Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp., and the Clark Development Corporation, whose representatives were present to show their continued support.
Sunlight Air currently operates flights from Clark, Cebu, and Manila to popular leisure destinations including Boracay, Coron (Busuanga), Siargao, and Cagayan de Oro.
Passengers may also enjoy all-in-one vacation packages through the airline’s exclusive platform Sunlight Vacations, offering flights bundled with accommodations at partner hotels and resorts via www.sunlightair.ph/vacations. (with reports from Lau Balocos)
