Kapuso matinee idol Will Ashley is closing 2025 with a major career milestone — not just one, but two films starring him have made it to the official lineup of the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), which kicks off on December 25.

The young actor couldn’t contain his excitement as he shared the news on Instagram, expressing both disbelief and deep gratitude for how far his journey has come.
“Only a crazy dream until you do it! Magkita-kita po tayo sa Pasko para sa MMFF!!!” Will wrote.
“Isa lamang itong pangarap dati. Who would’ve thought na sa unang MMFF, dalawa na malapit sa puso kong pelikula ang mapapasama dito! Patuloy po natin suportahan ang pelikulang Pilipino!” he added.
Will stars in two festival entries — the romantic film ‘Love You So Bad’ and the legal drama sequel ‘Bar Boys: After School.’
In ‘Love You So Bad’, Will is joined by Bianca de Vera and Dustin Yu, both former ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemates. The film, directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, explores young love and heartbreak in the digital age.
Meanwhile, ‘Bar Boys: After School’ serves as a follow-up to the 2017 cult favorite, featuring a mix of original and new cast members including Carlo Aquino, Kean Cipriano, Enzo Pineda, Klarisse De Guzman, Glaiza De Castro, Therese Malvar, Royce Cabrera, Bryce Eusebio, Sassa Gurl, and Emilio Daez.
Will’s fans flooded his post with congratulatory messages, saying he truly deserves the blessings coming his way.
The actor’s career has been on a steady rise since his stint on ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’, where he and Ralph De Leon finished as Second Big Placers last July.
Apart from his film projects, Will is also preparing for another milestone — his first solo concert, happening on October 18 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
