It was a superstar morning at McDonald’s last October 10 as Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, and Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco delighted customers during the fast-food chain’s World Egg Day celebration.

The three Kapuso stars joined the early morning event at McDonald’s in Taguig City, personally serving breakfast meals and spreading cheer to diners as part of the brand’s annual campaign.
The celebration coincided with World Mental Health Day, and Alden highlighted how even small joys—like enjoying breakfast—can make a difference.
“We have to thank the eggs!” Alden quipped. “We should not take even the little things for granted. It’s a reminder to be grateful for all blessings, big and small.”
Alden, who owns a McDonald’s branch in Laguna and is set to open another, also shared his love for the brand’s newest offering—the Golden Curry Fillet with Egg, inspired by Japanese Umu Rice.
“It’s the flavor of the sauce that really carries the curry,” he explained. “It’s delicious and sweet, with just a mild spicy kick. I even tried putting it on fried chicken and nuggets—ang sarap!”
Meanwhile, Barbie Forteza shared how breakfast sets the tone for her day, especially before long hours of taping.
“Breakfast is really important because it starts your day and your mood. It’s where you get your energy for the rest of the day,” Barbie said. “And a Filipino breakfast is incomplete without egg.”

For David Licauco, eggs are an essential part of his daily routine as someone who regularly works out.
“If my breakfast is delicious, I know that I’m going to have a good day,” he said.
The event also marked the launch of McDonald’s Golden Curry Fillet with Egg, available for free for early risers from 7:00 to 8:00 AM via the McDonald’s App as part of the one-day promo. Customers who missed the window could still enjoy a Buy 1 Get 1 Small Meal from 8:00 to 10:00 AM.
McDonald’s Philippines noted that Filipino tastes are increasingly influenced by Japanese and Korean cuisine, which inspired the new menu addition.
Currently, Alden is busy promoting his directorial debut ‘Out of Order’, Barbie recently wrapped up her hit series ‘Beauty Empire’, and David is filming ‘Never Say Die’ with Jillian Ward, Kim Ji Soo, and Raheel Bhyria. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
